There are so many things that you need to take to a festival, that even this list couldn’t possibly cover everything. But to help I have listed 10 of the most important things you should take, and many of them are often forgotten by festival goers! Take a look and see what you need to buy before your next festival.
1. Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer is an absolute must for a festival. You just never know what grossness you might come into contact with, and hand sanitizer can literally save the day, stop you from getting ill and stop you from feeling mucky.
2. Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo means you won’t have to wash and dry your hair in one of the festival showers, which can be really small and frankly, a right faff. Dry shampoo is truly a godsend that will give your hair volume, make it smell great, and get you festival ready in no time.
3. Face Halo Makeup Removers
Not face wipes - face halo. Face halo are so much better for the environment as they can be washed and reused again and again, unlike makeup wipes, that are only used once and are not biodegradable. Take a couple of these babies and you can clean your face just using water. Makeup wipes tend to move makeup around your face and leave lots in your pores, while face halo gets rid of every last bit.
4. First Aid Items
First aid is key. Painkillers for when you’ve drank too much cider, dioralyte for hydration, and plasters for your blisters. Make your own little first aid kit and you’ll be covered for the weekend!
5. Cool Outfits
No festival is complete without a cool outfit. You don’t have to dress up like a full on unicorn like you see many people do at festivals, but you can find some nice things on sites like http://www.somdiff.com/. Make sure you take a rain coat, wellies, and a variety of other pieces so you’re prepared for all of the elements. Festivals are great because you can have so much fun with what you wear - see if you can find any fun hats, headpieces, glasses, or a piece of statement jewelry!
6. Non Alcoholic Beverages
Festivals can be hard work, and a lot of people spend them drinking heavily. You might prefer to have a day not drinking - and you can still do this and have a great time with something like Three Spirit. This is a drink made from herbs, designed to put you in a great mood!
7. Portable Phone Charger
You don’t want to pay an extortionate amount of money to charge your phone, so take a portable phone charger.
8. Ear Plugs
Campsites can get super noisy, so take some earplugs with you.
9. Individually Wrapped Snacks
You don’t want your biscuits to go stale, so take individually wrapped snacks. You’ll want to avoid buying too much overpriced festival food.
10. Toilet Roll
You never know when you might get caught short!
Do you have any festival packing tips?
