When I'm buying a gift for my partner Blake I always like to get him something really special whatever the cost. Birthdays are a great time to spoil each other and this year I went all out and paid for a trip to Amsterdam as we've both always wanted to go. But on previous birthdays I always tend to buy a fragrance as I know he appreciates a good scent!
One fragrance brand that I have in my hometown of Stratford Upon Avon is L'Occitane. Instantly recognisable because of the bright yellow front, originally started in France, they have over 2700 stores over the world offering skincare, bath & hair products plus the perfume for men L'Occitane range.
L'Occitane's fragrances for men are inspired by natural ingredients such as wood, spices, and herbs. Each fragrance reflects the rich scents of Provence, where Olivier Baussan founded the fragrance brand in 1976. With over 11 mens fragrances to choose from you can be sure to find one to suit your mans style and all under £60 too.
Eau De Cedrat £46 - Aromatic spices and a slightly smoky, woody base
L'Homme Cologne Cedrat £48 - citrus notes with mint and woody spices.
L'Occitan Eau De Toilette £46 - lavender, blended with the peppery, nutmeg scent of burnt wood.
Eas Des Baux £46 - red pepper corn and cardamom essential oil.
Why buy a fragrance as a gift?
Smells can bring back certain memories and emotions but they also give off the impression that a man takes care of themselves. Fragrances are not something someone goes out and buys every week because of the price. But being a luxury item it can make a man feel more confident and special.
Lets face it men can be so hard to buy for so giving your loved one a fragrance is an intimate gift that is not only practical but is also something you can appreciate when you're with them too! Also have you seen L'Occitane's packaging?! Their products come beautifully presented from the box on the outside to the bottle on the inside. These can even be refilled after you've finished with the product.
When choosing the right fragrance for your partner, you will put a lot of effort and time in because you want to try out a few different options to find the best one and and this is reflected when the person opens it and loves this luxury gift.
Does your partner have a favourite fragrance? Or what's your favourite?
