Blue Jacquard

Jacquard is an investment piece for your wardrobe this season and at Gemini we have lots of it!

I saw this Sandwich jacket and immediately loved it, the short style and tile print - perfect transitional piece. I've got to admit I am a hoarder of coats and jackets I have one for every day of the week!

I styled it with a light blue tee and French Connection royal blue jeans which are the perfect fit and white pumps!

Another way to style this jacket is with a navy top and white jeans

My lovely colleague Hannah who is Gemini's photographer took this picture and lots more!

I'm feeling very spring like in this outfit so spring can you hurry up pretty please...

Colour Blocking Monochrome

Colour blocking & monochrome are always huge trends and luckily my favourite online shop ASOS have all the trend setting pieces! I bought this top this week for a tiny £7! They do it in nude and red aswell may have to get that too!

The top features a high neck which has been a trend all over NYFW

I styled it with my Missguided floral leather look leggings and New Look shoe boots! Anyone who knows me knows that I don't wear a lot of black but it really works for a night out!

I wore this outfit to see Jimmy Carr at Warwick arts centre where we actually managed to get a cheeky selfie with the main man himself!

He's so funny if he ever tours near you go see him!

Burgundy Grid Dress

Burgundy again I hear you say ( see my burgundy and mustard post) well it is the perfect colour for transeasonal dressing! My outfit on Sunday was a Red Herring burgundy grid dress which I bought in the Christmas sales at Debenhams I just love the skater style and sheer sleeves I actually wore this Christmas day as its so pretty!

I styled it with my Matalan burgundy hat and black flats! I'm getting bored of wearing boots now where are my summer sandals at?!

Anyone that knows me knows how obsessed with collars I am they just add extra detail and cuteness to any outfit. This particular piece has gems to add that extra sparkle!

This is an outfit I can wear winter and spring over and over again!

Valentines part I I - RSC Rooftop Restaurant

I was lucky enough to have two meals this Valentines. On Saturday night after getting back from the spa we had booked a meal at the RSC Rooftop restaurant in Stratford upon Avon as I had never been before but heard great things!

For the occasion I wore a ASOS lace navy midi skirt (£6) & New Look cream crop top with a blue necklace and black heels. I love midi style skirts as there a lot more elegant and glamorous.

For starter I had smoked salmon which was simply delicious!

For main I chose pork belly with chorizo and butter bean sauce it even had the most important part - crackling! I am definitely going to try and make this the pork was so tender it just pulled apart.

For dessert I had caramel tart with ice cream and pistachio nuts which was so creamy melted in your mouth - one of the best puddings I had ever had!

All this for 3 courses plus a glass of sparkling wine was £29.50 which for me is amazing value for the quality of the food will be going back very soon!

Valentines Weekend at the Malvern Spa

On Friday I booked the day off work as the boy was taking me for a surprise spa day, I had been trying to guess all week where we were going, so when we finally arrived at the Malvern Spa I was speechless. Malvern is such a beautiful place in Worcestershire only an hour from me. You may have heard of it because it's most famous for the Malvern hills & its spring water.

On arrival we were greeted by the lovely receptionist who gave us the key to our room where there was a massive king size bed, power shower & robes with slippers.

Then we headed down to the hydro pool which was both indoor and outdoor, I felt like I had gone abroad for the day! This had numerous individual features including bubble massage stations, powerful water jets, gentle hydrotherapy beds and booths to sit and relax while soaking in the warm Malvern spring water.

Inside the Malvern spa there was also a thermal suite consisting of:

  • A Salt grotto made up of salt steam which is meant to have a restorative effect on the respiratory system and skin.
  • A Crystal steam room infused with essential oils that fill the air with relaxing aromas. A fantastic way to open the pores and relieve tension in your body.
  • A Herb sauna where seasonal herbs and natural essential oils are gently steamed to cleanse the body and mind.
  • A Kelo sauna which is the first of its kind in the UK, this unique rustic sauna is constructed from naturally fragrant wood found only in the Arctic Circle.
After exeriencing the thermal suite you have to cool off. First visit was the ice fountain which involves scooping handfuls of crushed ice from a large central fountain and rubbing vigorously onto the skin to stimulate circulation and close the pores. Then there is a bucket (drench) shower which instantly drenches you in chilled water for an exhilarating end to your fire and ice experience. That was the most chilling part!

For the spa treatment we picked out the ESPA full body massage which lasted an hour using oils starting from my feet to my shoulders. This was the most relaxing part of the spa day! Viola the masseuse said I had lots of knots in my back which doesn't surprise me because I sit down a lot at work.

In the evening we sat down for a romantic meal in the restaurant which is all local produce. We couldn't fault the food one bit.

Overall our stay at the Malvern Spa was amazing the staff were friendly & accommodating and the spa speaks for itself! I definitely can't wait to go back.

Happy Valentines love Liz

Sandwich Clothing Blogger Press Day

On Friday me and Holly hosted our first press day for Gemini's Scandinavian brand Sandwich Clothing at the luxury Arden Hotel and it went absolutely brilliant we had such lovely fashion and beauty bloggers attend who loved the collections. It got me all excited for Spring/Summer.

Gemini is one of the largest stockists of Sandwich in Europe and its surprising how many people have never heard of this easy to wear, fashion forward brand!

The SS15 collection is based around the idea of collecting things whatever it maybe when I was a child I had a lot of barbies! On their website they have a museum section where you can upload a pic of what you collect for a chance to win prizes!

I love this, a real meaning behind the brand :)

We decorated the table with butterflies, the spring brochures, cameras and spring flowers to fit in with the 'collecting' theme.

The collections are so easy to wear and colourful! The blues are my favourite.

We made a Velcro board so the bloggers could make their own outfits such fun!

Me talking to Hannah the lovely YSL Make up lady

Me with Mel and Sally

Me with one of my favourite pieces - maxi dress

Me (cheesy grin), Holly and Katie

My favourite pieces from the collections launching late march are:

Denim shirt (will denim on denim become fashionable I wonder?!)

The jumpsuit and the sequin top

Aztec midi dress (It's a maxi on me!)

Denim dress & Ikat Maxi Dress

Blue tropical slouch pants

Utility dress

This is the Sandwich slogan

Thankyou to everyone who helped out and to the bloggers who came hopefully this will be the start of many :)

Burgundy & Mustard OOTD

Mustard is a colour that is just so on my radar right now and it's complimented well with burgundy. I make it sound like dinner ha

I picked out this jumper while scrolling through the ASOS app hoping things I want (but obviously don't need) are back in my size! This mustard beauty from new look just £6 is a lovely crop style perfect for layering over a white shirt!

I styled the jumper and shirt over burgundy jeans from Primark which I totally forgot I had! ( things get lost in my wardrobe the amount of clothes I have)

also forgot I had this cute floral brogues by Boxfresh so on a warm sunny Sunday stroll in Stratford (spring is coming yay) I though I would break them in and surprisingly they didn't hurt that much!

I love the old red telephone boxes!

My brown bessie backpack from Gemini made an appearance aswell!

Have a great Sunday everyone! Follow me on bloglovin
