Beige & Burgundy

My shopping spree at La Redoute continues this time I bought a Les Petits Prix white motif tshirt which reminds me of a french person because of the obvious stripes and floppy hat.

I also bought this lovely winter beige and burgundy striped cardigan that is quite oversized perfect for throwing on. Burgundy can be quite an intense colour but by combining with the beige and white it tones the colour down.

Near where I live theres a pond with Pampas grass growing a great backdrop for blog photos I think it may be even taller than me doesn't take a lot at only 5ft2

What do you think of my overall outfit?

Barcelona Hen Do

Over the weekend I went on a hen do to Barcelona having not been since I was a kid I was very excited for sightseeing, sangria and just being with the girls.

We flew with ryanair and easyjet who have great deals on flights and we booked a beautiful apartment through which I highly recommend if you are in a group of 8 or more because of how spacious it was and being located by shops, restaurants and the metro you could get around easily.

After we had checked in we walked down the famous rambles to find some Spanish lunch we ended up in a little square called Placa Reial which is tucked away off the rambles but a must go! There was plenty of restaurants to choose from and apparently at night it really comes alive!

After lunch we visited the famous Park Guell by Gaudi which is close to the metro stop Vallcarca be warned it's up hill and a lot of stairs who said you can't keep fit while on holiday?! We waited until 6.15pm so we got in for free and see the sun setting but before you find yourself at Park Guell there is a brick tower that overlooks the whole of Barcelona I could of looked at that view all day.

(Wearing ASOS khaki jeggings, Boohoo cami & La Redoute jacket)

On the Saturday we covered the rest of the tourist sights which believe me can be done in one day as long as you enjoy walking. We saw the famous Sagrada Familia which there hoping to finish by 2026 100 years since Gaudi died. If you see one thing in Barcelona make it this it's magnificent we didn't go inside but I'm sure I will visit it again soon!

Afterwards we walked about 20 minutes to the Arc De Triomf using our phones and maps because the great advantage of this beautiful city is even though the metro is so cheap you can walk to most of the tourist attractions. I didn't even realise they had this monument similar to Paris and it's just as big too!

Then we headed towards the gothic quarter to see the cathedral there's lots of small streets it's really quite charming. I think when I go again I would stay in this area.

On the last night of our weekend in Barcelona we went to this beautiful restaurant called Vigo i treated myself to some tapas and seafood paella I highly recommend them! Then we finished off the night at a club called Opium right on the beach be warned its very pricey for drinks but plenty of nightclubs in Europe can be!

Anyone planning a hen do abroad I highly recommend Barcelona but would love to go back in the Summer so i can laze on the beach too!

Polka Dot & Check Scarf

Scarves are the ultimate accessory for winter and you can never have too many, have one for every outfit if you like. Designers have recently wanted to draw attention to the neck and they are a great replacement for jewellery too.

I was recently sent this beautiful polka dot and check navy scarf from Lylia Rose the pattern is on trend and it's so soft to touch. Unfortunately it is sold out now but Victoria uploads lots of new scarves constantly and at great bargains too ranging from £6-£12.99! Plus FREE 1st class delivery.

The online shop Lylia Rose not only sells scarves but there are a range of gifts, bags, jewellery and homeware that are just as beautiful.

To tie my scarf I have used the double wrap where you drape the scarf around your neck then wrap each end across the neck and shoulders then back around.

I have styled the scarf with a jumper dress from ASOS as my dress is quite plain the print compliments the burgundy colour but I would also wear it with my navy parka coat.

As this is quite a casual weekend look I paired it with my new lace high tops from Forever 21.

Do you love scarfs? Then I have a 20% OFF code ELIZA (excluding subscriptions) with no expiry for my readers.
