A Summer Wedding

On Sunday I attended my cousins wedding at the beautiful Moor Hall & Spa having not been to one since my sisters I was very excited!

The day itself luckily was very warm and so my dress was perfect. I will admit I had it picked out a month before - very organised. And did I mention it was a Bargain £14.99 from H&M but I have seen it reduced to £7 recently in the sale.

I wore my Matalan heels at the start but like any girl my feet started to hurt so off they came but I was well prepared with my F&F sandals.

My accessories were an Orange H&M beaded bracelet (£6.99) which has a tribal look to it and the hair clips (£1.99) also H&M. I'm not really one for painting my nails very often as I hardly have any but this Barry M Paprika colour changed my mind.

My hair was styled by my friend Katie she's amazing!

Me and the boyfriend in his Next suit.

There were little place cards on our table and shot glasses too! Cute!

My next wedding will be my best friends Cats in the one and only Las Vegas!

Eroica Britannia 2015

This weekend I was lucky enough to be invited along with the Pashley Cycles team to the 3 day cycling festival Eroica Britannia in Bakewell now in its second year. I wasn't familiar with the festival before now, as its originally comes from L’Eroica in Tuscany Italy which started in 1997 and they even brought it to California this year. Luciano Berruti is the face of L'Eroica, an Italian cyclist with a life-time passion for classic and vintage bicycles.

The whole events offers something for everyone from camping, food, bars, music, film, a fairground, retro bike stands and vintage clothes stalls which of course I loved and not forgetting the whole point of the event - the ride. If you were cycling the 30/55/100 miles on Sunday you were encouraged to ride a retro bike and be suitably attired.

I was that excited I started planning my outfits a week before which included my Primark Coral Tweed Dress.

My main outfit was this elegant white pleated midi skirt (£14) from Forever 21 with a Dorothy Perkins Paisley Collar Top tucked in.

White Flower - Florence and Fred (£3)
Navy Flats - Peacocks

Pink Jacket TK Maxx

Lights don't get much better than this.

The Pashley Stand in all its British glory. They showcased the special edition Country Living  bike plus two new prototypes.

Some of you may not know but Pashley design their own Attire and Accessories which includes women's and men's t-shirts with logo and pretty collar blouses with bike part detailing. Truly Unique!

I even spotted Oasis Bessie the Bus!

We stayed in the beautiful Thornbridge Lodge which is in the heart of the peak district just off the Monsal Trail definitely want to go back for a long weekend.

Our room was full of character with a little en suite.

A picturesque view from the lodge.

I will definitely be back next year and hopefully cycling this time!

Passion for Paisley

The one print that always gets me feeling "boho chic" is - Paisley, this year it also coincides with the 70's trend which makes it extra fabulous.

The paisley symbol originated in Persia and came to Britain in the 19th century when the paisley shawl was the ‘must-have’ accessory.  Designers including Balenciaga and Stella McCartney have  featured the print on their designs and the great thing is designers continue to reinvent the print year on year.

This New Look dress was just £6 yes you heard me right, I'm always hunting for the bargains! I styled it with a tan belt and H&M fringe bag plus Florence and Fred Gladiator sandals.

As there is so much print its easy to keep it simple by just adding accessories, but I do think every wardrobe needs at least one paisley piece.

I have recently bought this paisley collar top from Dorothy Perkins too for the weekend (£7.40) as I'm off to cycling festival Eroica Britannia so watch out for my vintage style outfit posts after the weekend.

Have a great week Liz xx

Tropical Lovin

As soon as I set my eyes on tropical print I think SUMMER & HOLIDAYS even though I'm not going on holiday until October sob but I can pretend...

The trend has made the transition from catwalk to mainstream fashion in a range of bright colours to add a playful twist to any look and it's very versatile you can wear it as a jumpsuit or one piece of clothing like me.

I spotted these tropical green trousers in H&M store in Oxford for just 14.99 and I had a gift voucher so technically they were FREE

While browsing around Primark where I managed to spend £70! I saw this lovely white crochet top (£6) which complimented them.

I dug out my old Florence and Fred white sandals that have a pretty white flower

I took to polyvore and made a board of my favourite tropical items online right now!

New Home

Having moved home recently with the boyfriend I thought I would share with you our interior design/ decor skills. I have only lived in Stratford just over a year but funnily enough this will be my third home! But this time around we get to decorate which has been so much fun.

For our bedroom we decided to go for an orange and grey theme as they compliment each other beautifully and orange adds brightness and energy to any room. We bought this lovely sunset canvas from a little shop in St Ives for just £15 I crave for a holiday every time I look at it!

Cushions - Dunelm
Duvet Cover and Throw- ASDA
Lamp - IKEA

For the kitchen/dining room, we already had a red theme occurring in the old place so we bought a beautiful red Paris canvas from B&M that just sets the room off (I pretend we're the couple in the picture sad I know!)

For the living room the Paris theme continues as this was our first proper holiday together so the French destination means a lot to us both. Can you spot the Paris metro stop picture? (IKEA)

The back wall is a massive black & white picture of Paris also from IKEA. The black and grey colours in the living room make it very modern and fresh, as we're living in an apartment we left the walls white as we don't want it to feel overcrowded.

Our bathroom has a Buddha theme (Dunelm £7) which I think instantly evokes an image of serenity and calmness

I have got so much inspiration from Pinterest definitely the place to gather  your thoughts if you're moving or just planning a refurb. Even going to IKEA is an adventure in itself if only you could literally drag and drop!

Happy Sunday

The Pashley Picnic 2015

On Sunday the 4th annual Pashley Picnic was held in Stratford upon Avon a chance for pashley customers and the lovely pashley family to celebrate the amazing hobby that is Cycling and meet their customers (also to have a drink, a dance and not forgetting the picnic)

This was my very first time at the event since my boyfriend was co hosting and I loved every minute of it!

The ride started from the traditional cycle shop in Stratford then cycling 6 miles to Charlecote park where they opened the grand blue gates just for us! If you go to one National Trust place make it this one as it is truly breathtaking and there are a herd of Deer and beautiful flowers.

For the event I wore my Marks & Spencers Limited Edition Coral Floral Dress. (£8)

My handsome Boyfriend. ( photo credit: http://www.williammulryne.co.uk)

The whole event ended at a Marquee by the river, where there was live music by Mr Keith, yummy food supplied by the Bear and an epic pass the parcel!

I really have a passion for cycling thanks to Pashley and I can't wait for many more cycling events including Eroica Britannia this June.
