How to wear Leopard and Suede

If you haven't noticed already I am quite fond of leopard print, previously I've worn the bold print in an outfit post last year featuring Primark and I am wearing it yet again today. Having seen leopard print coats in an array of magazines and on celebrities everywhere, I was keeping a look out for that one special piece. I ended up finding a coat in my local Asda Living and lucky for me there was one left in my size. I definitely did a happy dance! I have always been a big fan of Asda's clothing range known as George, as it just as affordable, as it is fashionable.

Benefits of Coconut Oil

The use of coconut oil in our kitchens and bathrooms is on the rise and it's because it’s such a versatile ingredient; you can rub it into your skin and hair for a natural daily moisturiseror just use it when cooking your next meal. There are so many studies proving coconut oil to be one of the healthiest foods on the planet, some even class it as a superfood.

I was recently introduced to a new brand of coconut oil Bula Batiki on twitter and after hearing the amazing story that Callum and Ellis are doing for the Fijian community I couldn't wait to try the coconut oil in my kitchen.

Embellished Collars and Culottes

Since my last outfit post I have had my hair cut into a short bob which I absolutely needed and I couldn't wait to show off to you all. So of course I had to take some new outfit shots but being winter here in the UK it was freezing cold! I may not look cold in these pictures but my friend Hannah and I shot this outfit in 2 degrees!

Before I start rambling on about the weather...the outfit in question is a beautiful grey sweater (£22) from Blue Vanilla which has a white embellished collar complimenting my white watch from Johnny Loves Rosie. If you follow me on Instagram you may see a lot of pictures of collared tops/dresses I absolutely love them, they're just so cute!
I find that embellishment details add subtle bling to your outfit but don't go over the top.

Blue Vanilla is a London fashion brand you may have come across in New Look or Debenhams, which is where I discovered them, but they do have their own website too. Whether your looking for a party dress or your winter essentials they have it all and the best thing of all it's so reasonable priced.

I have styled the snugly, soft jumper with culottes from Boohoo (£6), I used to think they could only be worn for Spring/Summer but then throw on a pair of neutral tights and your ready to go. I also like wearing them to work too.

Blue Velvet

Hey everyone, I'm excited to share with you my first outfit shot of 2017! I previously collaborated with Apricot Clothing over the festive season here but I have to share with you another one of their gorgeous pieces and a 90s trend - velvet.

Velvet is anything but bland; it's romantic, shiny, sumptuous and it certainly made a fashionable come back last year and it's still doing the celebrity circuit with actress Evan Rachel Wood wearing a blue velvet suit to the SAG awardsI prefer to wear the trend in Autumn/Winter because it's a heavier fabric and looks so elegant as evening wear. Luckily for us lots of velvet pieces are now on sale!

Velvet comes in many styles including ankle boots, dresses and off the shoulder tops which is what I am styling today...This beautiful dark blue off the shoulder top was just £5 in the January sales. (*Shocked face*) I decided because the top is so bold that black leather leggings (Missguided) compliment it well and the blue block heels from New Look are just simply beautiful.

Don't you love the blue backdrop too? I want to live in this blue house so bad!

Do you love the velvet trend?
