In the UK we get our fair share of rain, so I myself invest a lot in practical, casual clothing to keep me dry and warm. That being said I love finding new brands to try, so when lighthouse clothing got in touch asking if I would like to try some of their designs I jumped at the chance. Designed in Northern Ireland their inspiration comes from their love of the coast and their desire to make life a little simpler. Which I feel fits my style perfectly, I love nothing better than throwing on a simple tee or shirt with jeans and a jacket and taking the days as they come.
When looking through the Lighthouse clothing range online, I was really impressed with the variety of clothing, the detailing and the colour range. I was spoilt for choice but I eventually selected the Florence Coat, Ocean Chambray Shirt and the Hannah Bobble Hat.
Even though I have plenty of coats (at least 25!), I think you can never have enough especially when you have ever changing weather and I seem to have less practical ones with a hood so the Florence coat was perfect for those rainy days. They have 3 colours to choose from but I opted for night sky which is a navy colour as it goes with everything in my wardrobe.
The coat itself is crafted from 100% cotton outer fabric so you're paying for a real quality jacket and it's fully waterproof. The soft quilted chambray lining is so comfortable and warm especially on the long walks I like to take by the river. Plus, the 3/4 length is perfect for my petite frame. I also love the amount of pockets the raincoat has, two outside pockets which you can access from the top or side and then a zipper internal pocket. I have worn it none stop since I received it and I get so many compliments.
To style with my Florence coat, I picked out the Ocean Shirt which comes in 6 different colours. I chose the grape colour to compliment my coat which is designed in a 100% cotton, chambray fabric. I have always been a big fan of chambray, I just love the way it looks and shirts are great for layering and throwing on with jeans. Being a relaxed fit it is really comfortable to wear and of a high quality to touch, I also love the added wooden button detailing.
The final part of my casual outfit was the Hannah Bobble Hat which is a cable knit combo in navy and mustard. I have plenty of hats in my wardrobe but this one is by far the cosiest and kept my head warm throughout the winter months.
