Barcelona Style Diary

Whenever I go on my travels, I get so excited to plan my outfits because it always means buying something new....as they say a girl can never have too many clothes! This particular travel adventure was Barcelona for our three year anniversary and I knew it was going to be hot, 35 degrees in fact which meant cool clothing for day and night.

I could only carry on a small suitcase, so this meant extra planning because I could only fit a minimum amount of shoes (which is difficult for a fashion blogger who is a shoeaholic) and I also wanted to do some shopping while I was out there, so I had to keep a little space for that.

Day time outfits in Barcelona

My first holiday look is from two of my high street favourites; ASOS and New Look. The cream wrap around linen shorts I picked up for £8 in the sale, they are high waisted which meant that when paired with the floral crop top (£15) I didn't show too much of my stomach. This outfit kept me so cool in the heat and looked really chic.

Something about this Eliza dress made me feel very Spanish and the pattern was too hard to resist, especially with the price at just £8, oh how I love Boohoo and their bargains! I also got to show off my "Hello Summertime" basket bag which was another £10 bargain from TK Maxx. If you love handbags you must go they have loads of cute accessories. I also picked up this fan for a couple of euros, not just for the heat but it made a pretty addition to my photos.

This floral playsuit is from my new favourite online store Nobodys Child, they have a fabulous sale at the moment so this little beauty was only £7.50. I styled it with my pink Matalan sandals and Stella and Dot sunglasses. It was the perfect outfit for travelling because it was loose fitting.

Evening Looks

When I tell you how much this dress is you will find it hard to believe! I bought the white crochet dress from NEW fashion retailer I Saw It First for just £5 in their incredible sale, unfortunately its nearly sold out but they have so many lovely dresses for sale you will be sure to get another bargain. I styled the dress with my H&M white mules and Matalan floral clutch which was also... you guessed it £5!

Tropical prints don't get any better than this Matalan leaf maxi dress. When it arrived in the post I was shocked that it wasn't too long for my petite frame and the fabric is such lovely quality, I can't wait to wear it again and again. I styled the maxi dress with some holiday buys: Pull and Bear tassel earrings (£5) and clutch (£10) from my new favourite Spanish store Alehop.

My last two evening looks are both from Boohoo, I was contemplating wearing the monochrome dress in the day but I thought it was a bit dark so I wore it for the evening instead, it's very light and complimented my white mules. The second Boohoo look is a frill check top (£8) which I paired with my New Look leather skirt which I think is an essential in a girls wardrobe.

Look out for two more Barcelona blog posts coming soon.

Which is your favourite holiday look?
