Two shades of black and grey

As the weather is still dull I'm still rocking black & grey as they compliment each other so well, roll on spring! I need more pastels in my life especially when French Connection & Great Plains new ranges have landed at work!

My first outfit is a Mango jumper dress (£15) which I wore with Matalan black flats (£3)

How cute is the gold detailing on the heel?!

My second outfit is also a Matalan beauty a hairy black chain detail jumper (£8) which I styled with H&M grey curved hem skirt (£7) & black new look buckle boots (£5) I swear I get all the bargains!

There are some funny outtakes from these pictures it was so windy this morning hair was going everywhere!

These boots are the comfiest I own with a heel!

Which is your favourite out of the two? Both I can wear from desk to party!

H&M Winter Look

The weather has turned rather cold recently I was hoping for a snow day but no such luck in Stratford! Before I start rambling on about the weather like I usually do lets get down to the outfit. I bought this H&M gilet before I went to Paris and yes I am addicted to wearing it but its not very often I say nearly my whole outfit is H&M the polo neck £7.99 & printed navy trousers £14.99

I love the slim fit of the polo neck tops I need one in berry and black I'm thinking primarni at the weekend!

My boots in this picture are actually New Look which I got in the sale after Christmas for £13 unfortunately they are sold out now but I had to show you a close up of the gold tassel detail!

The trousers are cool as they are random lines and of course I love navy & grey mixed together.

I'm off to Oxford this weekend shopping so I'm sure I'll be buying more H&M I should have shares at this rate!

How to style a khaki jumper

When I think of Khaki I think of the Military trend but it is so much more and it's going to be returning to Spring with a bang! Some say it's the new neutral!

I recently bought this khaki & gold jumper (£10) from french brand Promod that I found in Paris as they have a UK  website and a super sale at the moment!  There a brand that is affordable without looking cheap, feminine and easy to wear. I styled the jumper with black skinnies & my new H&M brown knee high boots (£17) that are so comfy and keep my legs super warm.

New Year Adventure in Paris Part 2

On day 3 in Paris we had purchased skip the line tickets for the Eiffel Tower because being new year you can guess it's going to be busy. I booked with get your guide and I definitely recommend them, they really were skip the line tickets we got too the top of the Eiffel tower super quick.

I have to admit I don't love heights but I wanted to say I've been to the top level of the Eiffel Tower so I powered through! There's even an ice skating rink at the top.

I wore my H&M gilet (£14.99) over this unique Dahlia cross blouse!

After wondering the Parisian streets for a while we stumbled upon a gluten free cafe called NoGlu about a 20 minute walk from the Louvre as my boyfriend is celiac. We had Brie & bacon sandwiches even though I am not celiac the bread is still amazing. France is pastry heaven!

After we queued up for the Louvre to see the famous Mona Lisa! (Free entrance with your passport or ID) I find it really fascinating how people push and shove to get a glimpse of this famous painting (it's very tiny) by Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci.

For dinner we dined at a restaurant called Bistro Victoires which was €11 euro for Confit Duck.  Such incredibly cheap prices for the amount of food we had, even with a bottle of wine our French meal came to €45!  This restaurant is recommended by the guardian too!

On our final night in Paris we booked a river seine boat trip which is a must do plus it's very romantic if you're there with a loved one! Also it's so pretty seeing the Eiffel Tower lit up at night.

There are so many places I want to travel to for 2015 we're thinking of visiting Honfleur in northwestern France and my friend is getting married in Las Vegas in October so plenty of holidays to look forward too!

New Year's Eve in Paris Part 1

I have just arrived back from an amazing long weekend in Paris with my boyfriend well they do call it one of the most romantic cities. This was our first holiday to Europe & because of my superb planning skills we didn't get lost!

On our first day in Paris we explored where we were staying in the 15th arrondissement we walked 30 minutes towards the river seine & it was such a glorious day we could see the French version of the Statue of Liberty & the Eiffel Tower!

My shearling coat is from M&S in the sale for £41 and the hat is from Matalan for £6 I felt very Parisian chic!

The New Years eve celebrations in paris started with a lovely meal at a restaurant called deuz I had crayfish to start, scallops & risotto for main then chocolate cake!.They even gave us a little treat before we left superb service!

After a long journey on the metro we pushed through the crowds to get to the Champ Élysées to see the arc de triomphe we read that it was the first year Paris had planned a big light show & fireworks it sure was spectacular! There must of been over 500,000 people you couldn't move but it is an experience I will never forget!

On day 2 of our trip to Paris we found out there was a parade on the champ élysées and a Christmas market so we headed towards the arc de triomphe.  They had mulled wine at the Christmas market too!

After the parade and market we went for a ride on the wheel known as the Roue de Paris such an amazing view!  We also managed to fit in the Notre Dame & the lovelock bridge which is so romantic leaving a part of you in Paris!

On the evening we ate at a seafood restaurant La cagouille I had haddock salad to start & cod soup for main best fish I've ever had!

Look out for part 2 coming soon! Happy new year everyone!
